What Is a Pink Slip Party?

Pink Slip Party West Michigan is a wonderful opportunity for job seekers, employers and recruiters to come together in a casual networking atmosphere. A Pink Slip party is similar to a job fair, or a career expo, but the main difference is that there are no employer booths, just employers and recruiters mingling with job seekers in a relaxed social environment. Pink Slip parties have swept across the nation for several years. Recently a group of Human Resource and Staffing professionals from West Michigan decided to come together with the Pink Slip Party concept as a benefit for so many people in this area who are struggling to find employment.

Is there a cost?

When candidates are searching for employment we recognize that their funds are limited, so Pink Slip Party West Michigan is hosting this event at no cost to job seekers or recruiters, although a cash bar will be available.

Sponsorship opportunities

At the West Michigan Pink Slip Party, we encourage employers to mingle, and network with job seekers. Some of the feedback we have received is a request for a place to set down resumes, and business cards. With this in mind, we have arranged to rent additional numbers of the small bistro tables that will allow you to set down copies of resumes, and business cards, and a few papers.

At the Pink Slip Party employers have the following options:

1. We are offering employers the option to be a sponsor for a modest cost of $50. This includes your company logo listed on the PSP website and on a rotating display at the event. You can also bring a stand up graphic with your recruiting information. Also, you will get a free job posting on CareerMatrix.com and the PSP websites. The tables are free. They are first come first serve for the first 15 employers to arrive.

2. Employers still have the option to attend at no charge without the table.

We encourage you to pre register for the event where you can choose the option best for you. The employer sponsor options will need to be arranged at least 24 hours in advance of the event.
